Stig is the good natured know it all, win it all, have it all type.  He doesn’t have to try very hard to master anything he puts his hand to.  He is very popular amongst his friends, and Sten idolises him – constantly vying for his attention. 

Stig always knows what to do, but he isn’t as intelligent as Manu.  As an excellent athlete he’s quite competitive, and the girls adore him – but Stig is quite disinterested in their attention.  He sees himself as an all action hero, he’s the kind to act now and think later – and is often the ring leader during any mischief.

He fantasises about adventures in space.   

Sten is the “class clown,” he always manages to cause mischief and often gets in to trouble for his escapades.  He’s an animal loving, food loving, hyper active boy – who is always the centre of attention. 

Sten always tries to gain approval from Stig, and can always be seen following his every beck and call.  He spends lots of time helping Granny at home, and likes to taunt Manu.  He is very suggestible – and is always ready for an adventure!  Sten never thinks about consequences, and never learns from his mistakes!

Manu is the real brains of the group, he models himself on the great inventors of our time and is always making fantastic contraptions for himself and his friends.  Manu is a compulsive bookworm, he spends lots of time locked away reading, planning and dreaming of greatness…and Klara – who he adores.  He is the quiet one of the group, but if he can teach someone something – he comes to life. 

Manu spends lots of his time in his lab, or at Granny’s house.  He likes to join the others on their adventures – but will more often than not spend most of the time worrying about getting in to trouble!   

Klara is the only girl in the group.  She has an alter ego called Klara Loft that is out going and likes to do very  adventurous things. She would like to be a girly girl – but can’t quite pull it off. She is a tomboy because she has to be – she is better at sport than the boys (even Stig) and is usually the only one who does not worry when they find them selves in a sticky situation.  Klara is all about action, and the boys often struggle to keep up with her energy.  She absolutely adores Stig, but he seems disinterested in her attention. 

Manu and Klara get along very well, she sees him as her best friend – and she can often be found helping him out of any trouble he’s landed in with the others. 

Granny is the guardian of the group, all of the characters have their own parents and families – but they are never really seen.  Granny is related to Sten, and as such has a taste for mischief!

Granny is usually used in situations where an adult is appropriate, she takes the children to place (on holidays etc) and often joins in with their games.  She is lively and full of zeal, all of the children adore her and will listen to her every word.
