EducationCity.com judged to be the best!

Friday 29 February 2008: The highly interactive eLearning resource EducationCity.com was revealed to be the winner of the Best Early Years Resource or Equipment category at the prestigious Education Resource Awards.

The Education Resources Awards winners were announced at the National Motorcycle Museum.  The Awards, coinciding with the Education Show and now celebrating their tenth consecutive year, mark high quality and innovative educational resources as well as successful and dedicated educational suppliers.  Recognising the impact of the resources and people on the day-to-day life of education, the Awards attract entrants from all areas of education.

EducationCity.com was thrilled to pick up the much-coveted award for Best Early Years Resource or Equipment.  Matt Drakard, CEO, EducationCity.com commented: “We are really proud to have won this award.  We spend so much time working with teachers to develop resources that meet their teaching needs, as well as to support their pupils. There are many pupils, teachers and schools that deserve to be credited for this award; we are delighted.”

EducationCity.com, which is used by teachers in over 6,000 schools in their lessons and by thousands of parents wanting to support their children’s education at home, also has its own award. Seeking to encourage teachers to embed ICT effectively in their schools, EducationCity.com presents its own E-Learning Award on an annual basis.

EducationCity.com also celebrated a successful Education Show, with the daily presentation of the colourful online activities covering English, maths and science. The French, German and Spanish activities are ideally placed to support Primary teachers through the Primary Language strategy. All activities are mapped to the learning objectives in place in England and Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
